TXHSWS develops the technical and employable skills necessary in today’s youth for tomorrow’s welding industry.  This annual competition includes a series of qualifying certification events at high schools across the southwest region followed by a one day build off event at our academy.  Sun City Welding Academy is proud to bring this Texas series to the borderland once a year. Industry professionals team up with educational leaders to create welding challenges that raise the bar for high school students, provide scholarships to major welding academies, and increase students desire to pursue a career in welding.
